Welcome Vetrinarian

We value your dedication to our Fit For Duty K9 Service Dog Program, which is designed to safeguard the safety and integrity of the Service Dog Community. As a recognized veterinarian, your role is critical in endorsing the Canine Medical Certification, which grants each Service Dog the right to travel with their Handler for the upcoming year without any hindrances.

To get started, the first step is to set up your secure account with Fit For Duty K9 by filling out all the required fields and verifying your information.

When a Service Dog arrives for their annual physical exam, log into the Fit For Duty K9 website with your credentials. Ensure that the USB plug that came with your Fit For Duty scanner is plugged into the computer, and the cursor is in the search bar. Scan the Service Dog's microchip, and this will open up their secure account with Fit For Duty K9.

Perform the annual physical exam and complete the checklist provided by the Fit For Duty K9 website. Ensure that all vaccines are up to date and recorded.

After completing the physical exam, validate its completion on the Fit For Duty K9 website, and add any notes in the comments section as needed. Then, log out of the website. If you are examining multiple Service Dogs, you can leave the website logged in.

Our Fit For Duty K9 staff is always available for live chat if you have any questions or concerns during the process.

Thank you for your participation in our Fit For Duty K9 program. Your commitment to the Canine Medical Certification ensures the safety and security of Service Dogs and their Handlers.
